About the RVW150 RESOURCES

A new programme, initiated and supported by Vaughan Williams Charitable Trust and produced by the Music Teachers’ Association, has been set up to provide resources for the teaching of various aspects of RVW’s work, from Early Years Foundation Stage through to Key Stage 5. We are beginning the release of these materials to coincide with our Annual Conference in May and continuing to the start of the academic year, completely free of charge to all schools and organisations running education projects.

When founding VWCT on RVW’s death, Ursula Vaughan Williams said, “I would like you to apply the proceeds of such covenants primarily for the purpose of the advancement anywhere in the world of the education of the public in the knowledge understanding and appreciation of the life and works of the late Ralph Vaughan Williams and of other British composers of music.”

Materials including:

  • EYFS
  • KS1 (Sinfonia Antartica)

Ralph Vaughan Williams: Schemes of Work for EYFS, KS1 and KS2

Join us as Dr Rebecca Berkley hosts a webinar that will take you through the schemes of work for EYFS, KS1 and KS2 created by the Music Teachers’ Association as part of the Vaughan Williams Foundations’ #RVW150 celebrations marking 150 years since the composer’s birth. The recording includes clips from all three authors of the schemes – Imelda Shirley, Karen Marshall and Dr Rebecca Berkley herself.
